If you’ve been trying to lose weight and hit a plateau, it can be frustrating. However, it’s essential to remember that weight loss stalls are common and can be overcome with the right strategies.
There are many reasons why your weight loss may be stalling, from hormonal changes to a plateau in your metabolism. One of the most common reasons for a weight loss stall is a calorie deficit that is too low, resulting in a “crashed” metabolism. A nicer word… Adapted metabolism.
This is so frustrating to coaches like myself because if you have an adapted metabolism, we can’t begin your weight loss journey until we reverse your diet. Your body needs a certain amount of calories to function correctly, and if you’re not consuming enough, it can slow down your metabolism and make it harder to lose weight.
To overcome a weight loss stall, it’s important to reassess your diet and exercise routine. Incorporating strength training into your exercise routine can help boost your metabolism, and increasing your calorie intake slightly can help kickstart your weight loss again. It’s also essential to be patient with yourself and to remember that weight loss is not always a linear process.
If you have stalled… know this is temporary and we can fix it.
Set up your call with me and we can get you started!
